Hotel Azure Tahoe undergoes $3.5 million in renovations

Renovations at the Hotel Azure Tahoe recently wrapped up, breathing new life into the more-than-30-year-old South Shore hotel.

Formerly known as the Inn by the Lake, the hotel underwent $3.5 million in renovations that were intended to pay homage to the lake and the area, according to a press release.

The property-wide renovation features remodeled guest rooms with finishings of reclaimed redwood accents and neutral shades that imitate the natural scenery of Tahoe. Guest rooms feature a patio or balcony with either stunning views of Lake Tahoe or the surrounding alpine terrain.

"The newly renovated Hotel Azure is a chic modern hotel with elements of the rustic Sierra Mountains that caters to everyone looking to enjoy and partake in all that Lake Tahoe has to offer," Jeremy Agnew, resort manager at Hotel Azure, said in a prepared statement.

Other renovations include:

High speed wireless internet access and gadgets to keep guests connected, including charging stations, USB ports and business stations.

Upgraded pool, hot tub and fitness facilities.

Games room and Tahoe Bowl.

Upgrades to the exterior of the building to showcase the towering Jeffery pines and alpine scenery on the 6-acre property.

"Inn by the Lake has a long history of providing exemplary service to our loyal guests, and we are thrilled to now introduce them to our new vision in Hotel Azure," said Ian Lowe, vice president of Burrard Hospitality. "We are delighted to have made this significant investment into the hotel to bring back its original four-star standard it was designed as over 35 years ago."

The hotel is located at 3300 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
