INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — A North Lake Tahoe waterfront residence that Realtors say blends modern convenience with Old World European castle style has hit the real estate market at a listing of $26 million.
Recognized locally as "The Castle on Lake Tahoe," the 7,249-square-foot home in Lakeshore Drive in Incline Village spans two lots, combining 1.7 landscaped acres with 180 feet of Lake Tahoe frontage, while leaving 95 percent of the property as open space, according to a news release from Sierra Sotheby's International Realty.
The five-bedroom, 5-and-a-half bath property features more than $500,000 in outdoor lighting upgrades, night-lit gardens and fountains, illuminated ponds, two barbeque areas, and a creekside dining space, and the attached garage includes a kitchenette that can double as additional catering space.
Listing agent Janet Pahl of Sierra Sotheby's said the current owners were immediately attracted to the Castle's uniqueness.
The Castle includes four wood-burning fireplaces, a wine cellar and tasting room, an elevator, an entertainer’s gourmet kitchen, and marble flooring. The property also includes a private pier with two motorized boatlifts, a boat launch, and a deep-water buoy.
"It was an instantaneous choice on their part," she said in a statement. "The European Castle look that has been seamlessly integrated with modern convenience, the stained glass domed and coffered ceilings, the outdoor spaces that they worked to enhance to where the property is today."
