The Sierra Recovery Center’s Every Child Deserves a Drug Free Home fund-raising golf tournament has been scheduled May 26 at the Golf Club at Genoa Lakes, 1 Genoa Lakes Drive in Genoa.

Named in honor of retired judge Gene Rasmussen, the Gene Rasmussen Golf Tournament will get under way with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Check-in time is 11:30 a.m. The format is a four-person scramble and the cost is $125 per golfer. Dinner-only is $30. Deadline: May 12.

The Golf Club at Genoa Lakes is an 18-hole golf course at the foot of the Sierra just east of Lake Tahoe. Expect championship play with spectacular scenery. The entry fee includes 18 holds of championship golf, cart and golf polo shirt. Prizes will be awarded for first-, second- and third-place teams, closest to the hole and longest drive and raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets and mulligans will be sold at the event. A dinner banquet will be served.

Proceeds from the golf tournament directly support Sierra Recovery Center’s efforts to make every home in the community a loving and caring place for children to grow. All funds raised will go directly to SRC’s effort to make the community drug free – one home at a time.
