Compassionate Friends have a late Mother’s Day

Compassionate Friends willl meet from 7 to 9 p.m. May 13 in the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center lounge, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. In addition to a discussion there will be a plant exchange in honor of Mother’s Day. Those who wish may bring a plant to donate to one of the mothers in the room who has lost a child of any age. Anyone interested is welcome.

The purpose of the group is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief, following the death of a child of any age; and to provide information to help others be supportive. The following Compassionate Friends will answer questions and are available as a resource in times of crisis; Dealing the death of an older child, Corrine Ehler (530) 544-1217; Infant death of SIDS, Alice Busenlehner (530) 541-2425; Drug overdose, Bonnie Oliver (530) 544-6522.
