Concert to benefit nonprofits

Provided to the Tribune

Southwest Pilgrimage, a band born out of years of friendship in the Dallas-based band Young Country, will perform Saturday at Lake Tahoe Community College.

The concert will benefit the LTCC Foundation and the Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe, as well as the nonprofit groups and scholarships the club supports.

The group takes its original material and combines it with songs from some of the best songwriters in the Southwest, embellishing them with tight vocal harmonies and unique instrumental interpretations.- It performs songs about wide-open spaces, rivers, romance and legends of the West.

The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $10 for students and children. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Susan Boulanger at LTCC, ext. 240, or Guy Lease at 530-307-9765. They will also be availble at the door.

For information, contact Lease at guy.lease@gmail.com.
