El Dorado County In-Home Supportive Services will implement a new statewide payroll and case management computer system Nov. 4.

IHSS provides services to eligible individuals who are age 65 and older, or who are blind or disabled and are at risk of out-of-home placement including caregiver services. Services through IHSS allow the recipient to remain safely in their home, and include domestic and personal care services such as assistance with bathing, shopping for groceries, feeding and similar tasks to ensure their needs are being met, a press release stated.

“This is a long awaited computer system that is expected to have many benefits,” Jayle Goucher, Program Manager I for IHSS, stated in a press release. “The new system will be more efficient and have automated and reporting features that are not available with the current computer system. The new system will also include a new timesheet process for care providers.”

El Dorado County IHSS has notified care providers in the community and created a web page with information about the new computer system and timesheet changes. Care providers with questions about the new computer system or who need assistance completing their timesheets may contact the El Dorado County IHSS Public Authority at 530-621-6287.
