Cuisine classes offered at Kahle Center

Cook’in at Kahle is being offered in a series of classes that will refine knife skills and expand cooking repertoire through hands-on experience. These Friday offerings are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Kahle Community Center, 236 Kingsbury Grade.
The topics and dates are: appetizers, Feb. 21; soups, March 7; salads, march 28; entrees, April 11 and desserts, April 25. Recipes will include vegetarian and ethnic cuisine. Registration is requested at least one week in advance. The fee is $15 per class and a food cost of $10 per class is payable to the instructor. Participants also should bring a towel, apron and hat.
Kay Huxtable is a graduate of the Chef’s Apprentice Program at Los Angeles Trade Technical College. She has worked as a personal chef, corporate chef and freelance caterer and has instructed culinary arts for the past five years .
