Dorothy Mae Hubbard

Dorothy Mae Hubbard, a 15-year resident of South Lake Tahoe, passed away Aug. 8, 2005, at Barton Memorial Hospital. She was 77.

Dorothy was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Santa Paula, Calif. She and her husband, Lyle, resided and raised their children in Ventura County, Calif., prior to moving to South Lake Tahoe in 1990.

Dorothy was active in a local quilting group.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle Hubbard of South Lake Tahoe; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennie and Larry Hall of Arroyo Grande, Calif., Becky and Weiland Mun of Martinez, Calif., and Cindy and Larry Beem of Ojai, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Kristine Hubbard of South Lake Tahoe; brother, Bill Blayhlock of Washington state; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Because Dorothy loved having a house full of people, a tribute service followed by an open house will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday in her home, 945 Kekin Street, South Lake Tahoe.
