Douglas County Historical Society’s Haunted Weekend events

“Haunted Weekend” is a weekend filled with fun, historic and haunted adventures in Carson Valley. Events start Thursday. Tickets for each event are $5 per person.

“A Real Ghost Investigation”

Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters will hold a investigation at 8:30 p.m. Friday night at The New Rancho Grande in Gardnerville, the former historic Ritchford Hotel. The owners and one of the upstairs tenants have reported several unexplained events. Tickets will be limited. Pre-purchase is suggested. The New Rancho Grande will offer a “Ghost Hunters Dinner Special” at 7 p.m.



“Ghost Hunting Workshop”

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters will hold a workshop at the Courthouse Museum on Main Street in Genoa. Tickets for the workshop are limited.



“Haunted Genoa Cemetery Tour”

Guided tours depart every 15 minutes from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Genoa cemetery.

“A Real Ghost Investigation”

On Saturday from about 9 p.m.. to 11:30 p.m. at the historic Courthouse Museum in Genoa, Northern Nevada Ghost Hunters will conduct an investigation. Tickets will be limited. Pre-purchase is suggested.

“Haunted Genoa Ghost Walk”

Starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Courthouse Museum in Genoa, participants will step back in time to learn about the early inhabitants of Nevada’s first permanent settlement. This is a “ghost walk” that will teach people about the hangings, murders and suicides in historic Genoa.
