Sierra House Elementary School will celebrate the life and works of Dr. Seuss March 3 through 7 during Read Across America Week. The school will kick off its literacy festivities with a 9:30 a.m. assembly March 3, where each child will dress as the Cat in the Hat. During the assembly they will vote for the California Young Readers Medal.

The students will have an opportunity to enjoy a story read by principal Mark Romagnolo, recitation of the readers oath, a performance of “Green Eggs and Ham” by Sierra House Reader’s theater and a visit from the Cat in the Hat. They will be treated to guest readers from the community and a lunch of green eggs with ham.

Anyone who would like to be a guest reader is asked to call Sierra House Elementary School at (530) 543-2327.
