Flutist to perform at potluck
Ryan Summerlin October 12, 2012
Enjoy sharing good food, socializing and listening to beautiful music by Francesca Imperial. She will be playing a Native American Flute at the Potluck with Entertainment on Friday, Oct. 12, at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
Imperial has played the flute for 10 years, using her flute playing as a form of healing medicine and prayer. She plays intuitively and is guided through by the rhythms of body and connection to earth energy. She has been called to play for many, including: sacred unions, shelters, homes, and celebration of life events. Imperial has played in hospitals, for Days of Remembrance, for hospice, at bed-sides of the dying, as well as in the greeting of new life. She plays for Peace and for the healing of our Great Mother Earth and for all beings, large and small.
Those attending the potluck, which begins at 5:30pm, are asked to bring their own plate and utensils. Spaghetti and meatballs will be provided. Guests are asked to bring a salad, side dish, fruit or dessert for six to eight people. Call Francine at 530-541-8380, before you decide what to bring, so there can be a variety of dishes.
