Foundation announces new cabinet member

The El Dorado Community Foundation has announced Margie Maxhimer as the newest member of its cabinet.

Maxhimer, a South Lake Tahoe resident, worked as a buyer and sales representative for five years, and has been employed by Tahoe Summers Inc., where she remains as a partner and vice president. She has also been an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe, has served as president of that club, and is currently their treasurer. She also served as lieutenant governor for the CalNevHa District of Kiwanis International and as secretary of the Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe Foundation.

Other members of the cabinet include: Mark Acri, Karen Houser, Doug Rosner, Wendy David and Bob Novasel.



The cabinet is an advisory group to El Dorado Community Foundation’s Board of Directors. The purpose of the group is to be the eyes and ears for the specific needs of that region of El Dorado County in order to ensure effective, knowledgeable granting by the Foundation. In its 11 years, the foundation has provided $350,000 in granting for the benefit of the residents of the South Lake Tahoe area.
