Foundation offers grants

Since its inception, the Lake Tahoe Education Foundation has granted more than $26,000 in fellowship grants. These grants, in the amount of $1,000 to $2,000, have been awarded to South Tahoe High School graduates who were pursuing teaching credentials.

Any South Tahoe High School graduate who is approaching their college post graduate year in pursuit of their teaching credential is encouraged to apply for one of the foundation’s fellowships. To receive an application write the Lake Tahoe Education Foundation, P.O. Box 14387, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96151 or telephone (530) 544-2755. The application deadline is April 15.

The fellowships will be awarded at the Foundation’s Celebration of Education reception in May.
