Free help offered to job seekers

El Dorado County Workforce Investment Act Program provides free employment assistance at Job One OneStop, 1029 Takela Drive, Suite 5. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

There are computers for Internet job searchers and online applications, a phone and fax for employer contact, and current listings of area employment opportunities. In addition, the OneStop partners with local employers to provide applications and interviews. Recent partnerships have included three new businesses; Ross Dress for Less, Grocery Outlet and Pizza Hut.

The OneStop also offers free workshops for job seekers including resume writing, interviewing success, identifying skills, math skills, master application/cover letter and job retention.
