Fundraiser hike to benefit Habitat for Humanity, land trust

El Dorado County Habitat for Humanity and St. Joseph Community Land Trust will host their annual Hike for Housing Saturday, Sept. 15, at Spooner Lake.

The hike serves as a fundraiser for the Habitat for Humanity and the land trust. Hikers can either take a leisurely, two-mile stroll around Spooner lake or take a moderate hike to Marlette Lake. Registration on the day of the event costs $20 per person or $30 per family. Carpooling is recommended. Parking costs $8 for Nevada license plates and $10 for others. A raffle will also be held.
