Guest speaker at Better Breathers

Better Breathers will meet at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 19 at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Guest speakers Amy Wallace and Alicia Allegrini of Barton Memorial Hospital will discuss energy conservation techniques.
Wallace, a certified and licensed occupational therapist, will speak about energy conservation techniques and exercises that are geared toward people with respiratory problems. These exercises will assist individuals in optimizing a healthier lifestyle with less stress on their respiratory system. Allegrini will discuss how the resource center can assist individuals in better understanding a diagnosis or health related illness. The center offers many referrals to both local and national organizations and is used as a reference for many community members.
Better Breathers is a local support group formed to help patients, friends and family members learn more about breathing and hot to maximize their health.
