Provided to the Tribune

High Sierra Adventure Sports is seeking volunteers to help pick up trash left on the beach from the Labor Day weekend. Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – or however long it takes – on Sept. 6. They will pick up trash from El Dorado Beach to the Tahoe Queen marina.

Volunteers will meet at High Sierra Adventure Sports, 3117 Lake Tahoe Blvd., and walk to the beach with trash bags that will be provided. Some volunteers on kayaks will pick up trash from the water.

Everyone who volunteers will receive a coupon for a free kayak or canoe rental for two hours on any day, compliments of owners Rick and Brenda Rogers.

Call (530) 542-2565 or stop by High Sierra Adventure Sports on the corner of Lake Tahoe Boulevard and Tallac Avenue.

Look for the blue building with the red kayak on top.
