High school student arrested for concealing baseball bat in pants

An 18-year-old South Tahoe High School student was arrested on a weapon offense for having a baseball bat hidden in a pants leg when an officer searched him after responding to a fight, a South Lake Tahoe police officer reported.

The fight involved several youths behind Sports LTD on Lake Tahoe Boulevard on Thursday evening, the officer stated. When the 18-year-old was searched for weapons the baseball bat was discovered, the officer reported.

— A Chicago Electric tile saw, worth about $1,000, was reported stolen from the rear of McDonald’s along Lake Tahoe Boulevard on Thursday, a South Lake Tahoe police officer reported.
