Hight, Teter top Winter Dew prelims at Snowbasin

South Lake Tahoe snowboarders Elena Hight and Elijah Teter led superpipe qualifying at the Winter Dew Tour’s Wendy’s Invitational on Thursday at Snowbasin, Utah.

Hight, a recent runner-up at the U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix at Mammoth Mountain, cleared the field by four points with her top score of 88.25. Slopestyle favorite Jamie Anderson of South Lake Tahoe was fourth at 71.75.

Teter was nine points better than runner-up Steve Fisher with his total of 89.25.

Finals are set for Saturday.
