Barton’s Hospice of the Lake recently recognized its volunteers with an appreciation luncheon at Passaretti’s Restaurant. The lunch takes place annually as an opportunity for the hospice staff to convey its sincere gratitude to the volunteers for their commitment and care in supporting the terminally ill and their families in the community.

Volunteers are known as the Heart of Hospice and are an important part of the hospice team. Volunteers honored at the luncheon included chaplain Denese Schellink, Barry Trammell, Joan McCarty, Lowell Wilson, Pam McCracken, Kate Shurson, Wanda Parks, Susan Kidwell and Judy Guinn.
