Ice arena offers summer activities

The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena will host the inaugural Lake Figure Skating Competition June 19-30. More than 230 skaters from Northern California ranging in age from 4 to 70 will compete.

The Western States Police and Fire Games Hockey Tournament is set for July 26-30. This “guns and hoses” event will feature police and fireman as they wield sticks and blades.

The eighth annual Hat Trick Summer Jamboree Hockey Tournament will be Aug. 12-15. Competitors include Northern California teams.



Spectators are encouraged to attend and admission is free.
