John D’Atri

Memorial services will take place Friday for John Anthony D’Atri, 40, who passed away June 1, 2007, in Phoenix, Ariz. John was born in Reno, Nev., and grew up in Zephyr Cove, Nev., where he attended school and eventually returned as a manager for Wells Fargo Bank.

John died much the way he lived – with dignity, grace, courage and kindness. His earthly battle with brain cancer is over and his new life in joy and peace begins. John loved pastoring, mentoring and encouraging others. He loved flying and family. He loved good food and great friends. He loved life and embraced it to the fullest. Through four years of fighting cancer, he never lost hope and never questioned his faith in God. He leaves behind many close friends who were faithfully in prayer and continued to encourage him right to the end. He died at home, and in peace. John enriched the lives of everyone he knew and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine; daughters, Moriah, Cassia and Gabriela; mother, Livia D’Atri; sisters, Vicki and Jan D’Atri; niece, Gina Reeves; and countless friends.

Memorial services will take place Friday at New Life Community Church, 8155 W. Thunderbird Road in Peoria, Ariz.
