Joseph William Denton

Joseph William Denton passed away Oct. 20, 2008 in Gardnerville, Nev., he was 49 years old. Joseph was born Sept. 27, 1959 in San Gabriel, Calif., to William and Mary Ellen Denton. He has been a resident of Gardnerville, Nev., for the past 13 years, moving here from South Lake Tahoe, Calif.

He was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Gardnerville and South Lake Tahoe, member of the Toastmasters, also a member of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee, and he was the “Exalted Ruler ” of the Elks Lodge in Gardnerville. Joseph’s passion was fly fishing, he also enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, scuba diving, surfing and hunting. He participated in the “Reel Kids Real Recovery”event teaching fly fishing to cancer patients. He also taught blind skiers at Kirkwood. Joseph owned and operated “Allied Appraisers” in Gardnerville. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Karen Denton. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Linda of Gardnerville. They were married Sept. 16, 1995 at Heavenly Valley “Top of the Tram”. Joseph is also survived by twin sons, Maxwell William and Jacob Enrico, both of Gardnerville; a step-daughter, Ashley Bolinger of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; nieces, Shauna Harmon and Stephanie Sowles both from Gardnerville and Sara Malin of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.

A Funeral Service will be held at10 a.m Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at St Gall’s Catholic Church in Gardnerville. Burial will be at Mottsville Cemetery.

Walton’s Douglas County Mortuary has been entrusted with Joseph’s final arrangements.
