Hope Lutheran Church of the Sierra would like to thank Orchid’s Thai Restaurant for their donation of delicious chicken satay and rice bowls to our Oktoberfest Booth at Camp Richardson for the third year.

Everyone loved the food and the people who staffed the booth were great, and we also want to thank Don’s Bakery for their donation of sweet rolls.

The Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition would like to recognize the city of South Lake Tahoe for improvements made recently to an important and highly-used section of the bicycle path network: Pioneer Trail from Highway 50 near Stateline to Ski Run Boulevard.

The city resurfaced a large portion of this corridor, widened the existing bicycle lane, and added curb and gutters.

The result is a highly visible, clearly delineated location for bicyclists that the Coalition believes will help increase safety awareness among motorists, and increase use among cyclists.

The Bike Coalition, on behalf of cyclists, would like to thank the city for its conscientious work on this section of roadway, and encourage it in ongoing endeavors to make South Lake Tahoe a more bicycle-friendly community.
