Kudos & Kindness: A big thank you to all the Tahoe Forest Stewardship Day volunteers

The League to Save Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe Paradise Resort Improvement District would like to say thank you to all the dedicated volunteers and partners who participated in last Saturday’s Tahoe Forest Stewardship Day at the Tahoe Paradise Park in Meyers, California. During the 16th year of Tahoe Forest Stewardship Day volunteers helped to protect and conserve the Lake Tahoe Basin’s unique and sensitive environment by stabilizing eroding riverbanks with willow plantings, restoring park hiking trails, planting sugar pines resistant to invasive white pine blister rust, and by planting a Tahoe native demonstration garden at the Park. The League would also like to thank Aspen Hollow Nursery and the Tahoe Resource Conservation District for donating native plants for the demonstration garden; Nature’s Bakery for the natural fig bars to keep the volunteers fueled up; and to Wells Fargo for sponsoring this great volunteer event to Keep Tahoe Blue.
