Library plans computer class

Tahoe Daily Tribune

The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library will offer a new computer class in February. Introduction to Computers will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 19 or 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 22.

This class is an introduction to computers for the novice user. Topics covered will include how to turn the computer on and off, parts of the computer, Windows basics and an overview of the Internet and Microsoft Word. Students must be familiar with using the computer mouse in order to attend this class. Anyone who needs instruction on the mouse may stop by the library and complete the mouse tutorial program before the class.

To sign up, stop by the library, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd., or call (530) 573-3185 and ask for Lisa. Class size is limited to eight students, so reserve a spot today. The computer lab is closed to the general public during the classes.

Beginning computer classes also will be given in Spanish from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 26. To sign up for a Spanish computer class stop by the library or call and ask for Cecilia.
