ATV, motorcycle collide on South Shore street

Tribune staff report

Two South Lake Tahoe men were flown to Reno for medical treatment after a collision between an ATV and a motorcycle on a neighborhood street Monday evening.

The wreck occurred at 12th Street and Patricia Lane.

The two men were traveling side-by-side and heading in the same direction on 12th Street when they collided, South Lake Tahoe Police Lt. Brian Williams said.

The incident remained under investigation Tuesday.

“I don’t know what the speeds were, but in any case one of the men crashed into the other. The motorcyclist flew into a fixed object and got the worst injuries,” Williams said.

The motorcyclist was reportedly in intensive care, Williams said. Authorities were not prepared to release the names of the men Tuesday.
