Make a gingerbread house with Miss Carol

Children will make their own gingerbread houses out of graham crackers and sweets at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Douglas County Library in Zephyr Cove, 233 Warrior Way. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Douglas County Public Library.

Children services librarian Carol Nageotte, know as Miss Carol, will teach youngsters to create a fun, edible craft to take home. Both children and parents are welcome.

The program is limited to 25 children; register by Dec. 2 to attend. Participants will be asked to choose a donation from a list of program supplies, which must be delivered to the library before 5 p.m. Dec. 3.
