More blue skies are ahead for the basin
June 18, 2007
Expect another sunny, warm and breezy day today, with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s and afternoon southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with some higher gusts possible.
Breezy conditions in the evening will give way to clear and calmer conditions overnight, with lows in the upper 30s to near 50 depending on location.
The remainder of the week will feature a strong low pressure area off of Vancouver Island and a high pressure center over New Mexico or eastern Arizona. The strong southwest flow between these two opposing forces will create gusty winds for our area, but no precipitation as southwest flow during the summer months is usually dry for our region.
