Mountain bike group meets

Tahoe Daily Tribune

The Tahoe Area Mountain Bike Association (TAMBA) will be having a general meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Feb. 24 in the back room of Grand Central Pizza & Pasta Co. at Kings Center in South Lake Tahoe.

The meeting is open to members and anyone interested in mountain biking in the Lake Tahoe area. Items discussed will be: update from the Forest Service on the trail management plan; signage for Powerline Trail; wilderness update; reviewing upcoming projects; and scheduling trail workdays for 2003. We will also be soliciting input from people in attendance regarding issues or projects of interest to TAMBA. Pizza will be provided.

Lake Tahoe is fast becoming a significant mountain bike destination with internationally known trails and some of the best riding in the country. TAMBA hopes to play a significant role in keeping Tahoe trails maintained and available for all mountain bikers.
