New OB-GYN joins Barton

Dr. Kenneth Spielvogel has joined the Barton team of doctors.

Spielvogel was voted best OB-GYN 2012 Parent Magazine “Reader’s Poll” and “Patient’s Choice” from 2009 to 2012 on Vitals.com, according to a press release. Spielvogel aims to make sure women are educated, Whether they are planning on having children, are pregnant or are going through menopause, he believes education is key to taking care of themselves and/or their baby’s health, the release stated. He also plans to reach out to teens on the importance of preventative care, such as sexual education, including pregnancy and sexual transmitted diseases.

Spielvogel is a board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is fluent in Spanish and a trained da Vinci robotic surgeon, specializing in complex gynecological procedures. He earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and completed his residency at University of Colorado, Health Sciences.



Spielvogel has delivered several babies at Barton Memorial Hospital’s Birthing Center, and is also seeing patients at Barton Women’s Health and Barton’s Community Clinic.
