Norse ladies plan get-together

Tahoe Daily Tribune

The Daughters of Norway Queen Maud Lodge No. 42 will meet March 20 in Carson City. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the recreation room of the Comstock Mobile Village, 2601 E. College Parkway. Marilyn Hall will present a program on china painting.

Founded Oct. 20, 2001, the group presents programs to preserve Norwegian heritage; to maintain knowledge of the history, culture and language of Norway: and to build a support system and friendship within the group.

Women are invited to join the lodge who are of Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic heritage, or who are married or have been married to one of the above. For more information call (775) 882-1681 or (775) 885-0386.
