Jerry Allen Conley, Jr,

1955-2017

Jerry Allen Conley, Jr, of South Lake Tahoe, California, passed away August 2, 2017. Jerry was born November 14, 1955 at the San Diego Naval Hospital. He was the older of two brothers and a sister to Jerry and Shirley Conley of Porterville.

Jerry grew up in Porterville and played little league baseball. He attended Monache High School where he played on the baseball and football teams. After graduating, he joined the U.S. Navy and served for six years as an Aviation Electronics Technician. After the Navy, Jerry settled in South Lake Tahoe, Ca. He worked as an engineer for Caesars Entertainment Corp.

Jerry enjoyed the outdoors. He loved the mountains, the lake, camping, fishing, bike riding, music, golf and was an avid baseball enthusiast. His favorite team, the same as his father’s, was the Dodgers. Jerry was an excellent cook and loved to smoke everything from salmon to spaghetti. He loved animals and leaves behind two dearly-loved dogs.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father Jerry Sr. and his brother Vince. He is survived by his wife, Carol of South Lake Tahoe, his mother Shirley of Porterville, his brother Keith of Henderson, NV, and His sister Kelly, of Porterville.

The funeral will be at McFarland mortuary in Lake Tahoe, August 14 2017. Viewing will be at 1 pm. Interment will be at 2pm at Happy Homestead. Reception will follow at the American Legion.
