Obituary – Kathleen Joan Parker

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 17 for Kathleen Joan Parker, who died on May 8 in So. Lake Tahoe. She was 44 years old.

Ms. Parker was born July 1, 1959 in Pontiac, Mich., to Frances Morgan and the late James Parker. She was an 18-year resident of So. Lake Tahoe. She enjoyed spending time with her children, family and friends. She loved animals, camping and long hours at the beach. The most important part of her life was her children, whom she dearly loved. Her fun-loving spirit was a joy to be around. She will be sadly missed by her children, family and by all who knew her.

Ms. Parker is survived by her son, Trevor McNutt of Palm Coast, Fla., and daughters, Haley and Kelli Colan of So. Lake Tahoe; mother, Frances Morgan of Interlochen, Mich.; sister and brother-in-law, Claudia Parker Stutz and Jerry Stutz of Rochester, Mich., sister and brother-in-law Carrie and Dave Smeznik of Lake Orion, Mich.; niece, Taiya Parker Stutz and nephew Myles Parker McGray; and loving friend, Larry Chavez.

Ms. Parker was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Parker, whom she adored, and by her grandparents.

The memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Arrangements are by McFarlane Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to Paws With A Cause, 4646 South Division, Wayland, Mich. 49348.
