OBITUARY: Ronald J. Krupa

September 8, 1953 – August 25, 2012

Ronald J. Krupa, 58, of Stateline, Nevada entered into eternal rest on August 25th 2012. Ron was born in Johnstown, PA on September 8, 1953 to John and Ann (Leck) Krupa. Ron was a graduate from Richland High School and Penn State University where he received his BS degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering. Ron worked for ARCO, Torch, Noble Oil and Halliburton, including many years in Russia where he became very fluent in the language and customs.

Ron loved to travel the world, often to exotic destinations to seek the thrill of life where he skied glaciers, bungee jumped, scuba dived, and backpacked throughout many countries. Ron loved to share these experiences with family and friends through his passion for photography. Ron was an avid reader, enjoyed hiking, skiing, boating, watching movies, listening to music and cooking. Ron’s passion for the outdoors took him to Lake Tahoe where he made his home. Ron was a very knowledgeable, caring sweet, funny and loving man who will be greatly missed.

Ron is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Krupa and his sister Renita Krupa. Ron is survived by his loving father, John Krupa of Johnstown, brothers Eugene (Chris) Krupa of Johnstown and Greg (Debbie) Krupa of Ringoes, NJ; sisters Regina (Don) Haubert of Mechanicsburg, PA, Sonya (Rich) Evans of Richmond, VA, and his friends Tatiana Krupa, and her children Eugenia Larmore and Anton Kokunin all of Reno, NV and 15 nieces and nephews.
