Stella Mc Intosh (Siemens) was born on October 31, 1920 to Harry and Wanda Siemens in Corning, Calif. She had three brothers, Arthur, Ralph and Leonard, all of whom preceded her in death. After graduating from Corning High School in 1938, Stella moved to Los Angeles for business school, where she was trained as a stenographer. Her excellent stenographer skills served her well all her life, even into retirement.

She married and had four children, whom she raised in Clovis, Calif.: Thomas E. Prudek, Barbarba L. Prudkova, Cathleen M. Prudek and Fred J. Prudek., and she loved each of them with all her heart. And from these children, she realized 8 grandchildren: Mary Andersen, Bill Prudek, Jim Prudek , children of Tom; Todd and Eric Stewart, children of Barbara; and Ben, Katie and Jon Prudek, children of Fred. Today Stella has 9 great-grandchildren.

At 60 years old Mom moved to South Lake Tahoe and worked for the Water Quality Control Board. She took up downhill and cross-country skiing as well as hiking. Stella loved to keep learning all her life. She enjoyed taking night classes at the community college in a variety of topics. She enjoyed her hiking group and loved the glory of the Sierra, but her deepest passion was dancing, which she enjoyed as often as possible.

At 79 years old Stella met Don Mc Intosh, the love of her life. They hiked together all over the Sierra with their donkey, Jenny, as well as skiing and dancing. Stella lived life to the fullest and she will be dearly missed. In her final six and a half years she was lovingly cared for by the Carson Valley Senior Living facility along with two good friends, Jimmie Fields and Kathryn Winebarger.
