On the Hill, brought to you by the Tahoe Center for Orthopedics, brings you a video report showcasing Tahoe's ski conditions every day.
Breakdown: Join Tahoe 'On the Hill' reporter Brian Hamilton for a run down Olympic Downhill at Heavenly. ROCK HARD groomers are the current surface condition. If you are planning on coming out today, bring your world-cup-tuned sharp edges. Also, check the snow phone at 1-800-HEAVENLY because winds are affecting lift operations. Mott Canyon is planned to open for the first time this season around 10 a.m. today.
Heavenly official report: 0” in past 24 hours.
Field report: 0” in the last 24 hours, 37” from the last storm.
Weather: Partly cloudy and currently 38 degrees. 46 is the predicted high today. Moderate to high winds are affecting lift operations.
Liftline status: No crowds and no lines.
Snowcast: Next week there is a chance for a very cold powerful storm to move in. I’ll update as we get closer. This cold storm could drop very fluffy snow, which would be perfect over this base building storm we just had.
