On the Hill: Storm drops 14" of fresh pow at Kirkwood

On the Hill, brought to you by the Tahoe Center for Orthopedics, brings you a video report showcasing Tahoe's ski conditions every day.

Breakdown: Join Tahoe Daily Tribune reporter Brian Hamilton for a powder run through the trees at Kirkwood. Winter came back to us last night and left us with 14 inches of fresh pow. The snow is a little on the dense side, but there is lots of it, and it is a blast to ride.

Kirkwood official report: 12-14” in past 24 hours

Field report: Fresh powder everywhere! It is a little on the dense side, but still a lot of fun.

Weather: Snowing and currently 27 degrees with slight to moderate winds.

Liftline status: Big line waiting for chair 6 to open, but once it opens the crowds will spread out and there will be no lines.

Snowcast: It will continue to snow today and in to tomorrow. Another front moves in tomorrow afternoon and night, with big snow expected.
