On the Hill: Heavenly conditions surprise

On the Hill, brought to you by the Tahoe Center for Orthopedics, brings you a video report showcasing Tahoe's ski conditions every day.

Breakdown: Join Tahoe Daily Tribune reporter Brian Hamilton for a run down Sam’s Dream at Heavenly. The groomed runs are surprisingly nice this morning. After the melt freeze yesterday and into the night I expected them to be very firm, but they are riding great. As the temperatures rise today, the off-piste snow (which is hard ride now) should soften up and open up more possibilities of where to ski today.

Heavenly official report: 0” in past 24 hours

Field report: Groomers are nice this morning, and the off-piste terrain should soften up later.

Weather: Sunny and currently 32 degrees. There are moderate winds at the top of the hill, which could affect lift operations later.

Liftline status: Big line at the gondola this morning, but everyone is spread out nicely once you’re up here.

Snowcast: Chance of snow Sunday and Monday.
