A man suspected in a fatal January shooting in South Lake Tahoe has waived extradition in Oklahoma and is being brought to El Dorado County to face prosecution.

Former Vallejo, California, resident Dion Jermaine Randolph Vaccaro, 26, was wanted for murder and robbery charges in connection with the death of Dennis Wright Jr. at the Beverly Lodge on Jan. 30.

“As part of this ongoing investigation, his location was identified and he was arrested on May 20, 2016, by the Oklahoma City Police Department,” according to a Tuesday press release from the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office. “He waived extradition; El Dorado County officials are transporting him from Oklahoma City to El Dorado County where he is scheduled to be arraigned.”

Vaccaro is one of six defendants in custody in connection with the killing.
