On the Hill: A Heavenly morning run down California Trail

On the Hill, brought to you by the Tahoe Center for Orthopedics, brings you a video report showcasing Tahoe's ski conditions every day.

Breakdown: Join Tahoe Daily Tribune reporter Brian Hamilton for a run down California Trail at Heavenly. Another beautiful blue bird day awaits you here at Heavenly. The runs are nice and groomed thanks to the efforts of Heavenly’s snow making crew.

Heavenly official report: 0” in past 24 hours

Field report: 0” new natural snow, although snowmaking is creating nice groomed conditions.

Weather: Sunny and in the mid 30s this morning. The predicted high is in the upper 40s today with light to moderate winds. If you’re heading up for an afternoon session be sure to check the wind levels as they could affect lift operations later.

Liftline status: No crowds this morning, but that seems to change around 11am. However, the big holiday crowds seem to be thinning.

Snowcast: There are 3-5” of snow forecasted for tonight and tomorrow! The snow will likely be wet and heavy because of the high temps, but it will be good base building snow, which is what Tahoe desperately needs right now.
