On the Hill: Flying skis and snow coming!

On the Hill, brought to you by the Tahoe Center for Orthopedics, brings you a video report showcasing Tahoe's ski conditions every day.

Breakdown: Join Tahoe 'On the Hill' reporter Matt Hardy for a run at Sugar Bowl this morning. Four lifts spinning, 24 trails open (13 groomed).

Sugar Bowl's official report: 0" overnight, 0" in last week

Field report: Freshly groomed trails and beautiful California weather is making for great skiing conditions.

Weather: Sunny, no wind, with temperatures warming in to the 50s.

Liftline status: Very few lines.

Snowcast: Today may be the only precip-free day this week as several systems are set to push into Northern California this week. Snow levels will start high tomorrow but will fall during the heaviest precip on Thursday. Cold and snow showery next weekend and then another dry pattern to start next week. Models hinting at a stormy pattern beyond 10 days. Above 7000 ft., 8-20 inches across the basin and 16-30 inches along the crest. At lake level it looks like 4-12 inches are possible.
