As a former chairman of Red, White and Tahoe Blue, I am biased when commenting on the importance and the execution of RWTB.
However, the bias is overshadowed greatly by my experience of being “the buck stops here” person for the first two years of RWTB. Using an old cliché, “Been there, done that,” I know the tremendous effort the current board has expended in providing our little community with one of the top-rated Fourth of July celebrations in the nation.
When you see the following individuals, please let them know how much you appreciate their efforts: Jim Smith, Will Brigham, Lee Koch, Robin Glasgow, Robert Wheeler, Amy Guinan, Shana Sawyer, Kevin Hameister, Shelia Leijon, Mitch Harbaugh, Dina Marshall, Gail Krolick and Linda Offerdahl.
Each and every one worked diligently and long for the only reward of seeing on the faces of all that they are proud to be an American and excited about being here at Incline Village/Crystal Bay.
Thanks also go to each and every one of you who contributed, big and small, to the event, to those who provided services for pennies on the dollar, and to those who provided food and beverages for the many events.
A special thanks goes to IVGID, who provided the venues for most of the events. My thank yous could go on and on but I am hearing the music to cut me off. It takes a community.
