On the Hill: Mountain biking at Northstar

On the Hill Summer, brought to you by The Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, brings you a video report about a different Lake Tahoe adventure every day.

Today's activity: Mountain biking at Northstar.

Conditions: There's riding at every corner of the lake, but there's only one Northstar mountain bike park. Forget the climbing, and grab the chair lift instead, as Drew Hanley shows us one of the more than 100 trails at Northstar. From beginners to advanced, all levels of riders will find their downhill bliss. NOTE: The park is closed until July 15 for the Tough Mudder race, so get your plans ready for next week, and if you're needing rentals, get up their early as they tend to sell out.

Today's weather: Nothing but perfect summer weather this week and into next. Temps hold out in the low '80s along the north shore of the Lake. — National Weather Service
