Passaretti’s benefit breakfast gets better

Mark your calendars now for the breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 14 at Passaretti’s Italian Restaurant, 1181 Highway 50. All proceeds go to the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation’s fund for Class Size Reduction.

And, this monthly breakfast repast will offer a new feature. In addition to the full breakfast buffet of juice, meats, eggs, fruits and breads, each diner will have their choice of eggs Benedict or blueberry pancakes as a separate entree – at no extra cost.

LTEF’s pledge to re-institute Class Size Reduction has gained strong community support, and the monthly Sunday breakfast buffets at Passaretti’s have added several thousand dollars to the fund.

The buffet is held the second Sunday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $13 for adults and $6.50 for children.

Pat Miller, chair of the fund-raising event for LTEF, says: “Come early, eat up and support our community and our schools.”
