Picturesque weather expected through Fourth of July weekend

LAKE TAHOE – Save for a day or two with some higher-than-normal wind gusts, the week ahead and the Fourth of July weekend should hold picturesque temperatures and conditions for the region, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.

All week long, high temperatures should be in the low- to mid-70s, with the warmest day being Monday, with a high expected of 80 degrees, and Fourth of July Sunday, with a high of 78 expected.

Some wind gusts of up to 25 mph could blow Monday and Tuesday, but other than that, sunny skies will be the norm. Below is an extended forecast from http://www.noaa.gov.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming south southwest between 10 and 15 mph. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. Southwest wind between 10 and 15 mph becoming calm. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming southwest between 10 and 15 mph.
