SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – South Lake Tahoe police have arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with a Friday stabbing that sent one man to the hospital.
Police arrested the teenage suspect about 12:30 p.m. Saturday at an apartment complex on Blackwood Road with the help of El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies, according to a statement from the city.
A second teenager, a 17-year-old boy, was also taken into custody at a location on Kokanee Trail in connection with the Friday afternoon incident, where a 22-year-old man was stabbed in the arm near 11th Street and Eloise Avenue following an altercation.
The 17-year-old was involved in the incident, but did not stab the man, according to the statement. An alleged probation violation also contributed to police taking the second teenager into custody, according to the statement.
Sonya Klempner, 38, the sister of 17-year-old, was also taken into police custody for allegedly obstructing the investigation into the stabbing, according to the statement.
