Randi Louise Barnett passed away with her family by her side at 5:02 p.m. on September 18, 2008, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Randi was born on November 5, 1955, in Coalinga, Calif., to Donald and Rosemary (Senter) Wrinkle and married her husband, Randy “Bob” Barnett on November 3, 1974.

Randi was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Kenalee (Karl) McPeek of Freeport, Ill.; son, Clark Barnett, of Freeport, Ill; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Odell, Maverick, Iris, Falyn, Karl “Levi” III, and Randy McPeek of Freeport, Ill; and her little companions Cha Cha and Rosita. Also, her sister Sharon Wrinkle with daughter Jillian of Santa Barbara, Calif.; brother, David Wrinkle of Port Ludlow, Wash., and his daughters, Madison and Makenzi, of Lake Tahoe; brother, Don Wrinkle, Jr. and his daughters, Haley, Taylor and Jordan of Santa Barbara, Calif., and her sister Salli (Ron) Dulco of Carson City, Nev.

The family and community will never forget her dedication to the health and welfare of pets as she worked for many years as proprietor (following her parents) of the family business originally known as Tahoe Knit, then Antique Junction, followed by Zephyr Feed and Boarding and then back to the original Zephyr Feed that has been in business at the Lake for over 30 years.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting and needlepoint projects, and had a passion for her flower garden while living at Lake Tahoe.

Randi requested there be no public memorial or funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a memorial fund established at Wells Fargo Bank, account #8708189876, to help with defraying the costs of medical and burial expenses.
