Reading program beginning Friday

The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library will offer a Children’s Winter Reading Club beginning Feb. 14. The club is designed as an incentive program to keep children reading throughout the winter. Registration for the Winter Reading Club will be taken starting Feb. 14. At registration each child will be given a folder to keep track of all books read. Each child will receive a prize for every five hours he or she has read. The final day of the reading club will be March 28.

The Children’s Winter Reading Club is free and open to children through eighth-grade. So be sure to visit the library this winter and join the fun. The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library is located at 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd. It is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
