The Zephyr Cove Elementary and Kingsbury Middle School parents clubs will present their 22nd annual auction and fund-raiser, “Spring Romance – Providing Our Kids a Better Chance,” from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on April 22 at Harveys Resort & Casino. All proceeds will go toward providing necessities that help make our schools so special while providing a better chance for our children and their education.

Just last year, the funds made it possible for playground improvements, multi-purpose room, acoustic tiles, logo entrance mat, and additional money to provide teachers $300 each for school supplies. Also, funds were given to the library and technology lab to make them a better working environment for our children.

This year’s event promises to bring a night of romance. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Live music will be provided by “Jo Mama,” Tahoe’s premiere entertainment. There will be many exciting live and silent auction items to bid on, including a few surprises. Dress is semi-formal and tickets are $40 in advance or $45 at the door, so make your reservations early. Dinner will also be provided. We would especially like to thank Harveys for donating this year’s venue. We encourage the community and parents of our children to show their support for this year’s event. It takes all of us to make a difference in our children’s lives. Your attendance is highly appreciated. Tickets may be purchased by calling Johnie Prado at (775) 588-7305. Donations are still being accepted and corporate sponsorships are still available. Thank you for your support.
